You are focused on the visual layout, interaction, and overall experience of using software, and know-how to create components and features that excel the expectations of the final user. Also, your knack for translating wireframes into fully realized interfaces that efficiently, accurately, and quickly carry out any task is amazing.
You also want to collaborate with US-based clients as part of a team with expertise from all over Latin America, at one of the Best Place to Code companies that values communication above all. Sounds like you? Please keep reading!
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
You’ll write clean, scalable, testable, and maintainable code, transforming requirements into product features, involving development in both the Back and Front-End layers.
You will also collaborate with the Team Engineering Manager, the Tech Lead, and the Product Manager as an advisor on innovative solutions while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices
WHAT YOU HAVE:
You are a fully bilingual dev in both English and Spanish, customer-obsessed with the work you do. You also enjoy taking ownership of solutions, following ideas from the start all the way through to the end, and you favor elegance and simplicity instead of overcomplicating things unnecessarily.
You have a strong written and verbal communication skillset, both in English and Spanish, with good experience using remote collaboration tools like Slack and JIRA, have more than 4+ years of experience in the field, and the Agile methodologies are your jam. Great!
On the more technical side, you also have…

- Competency with source code management (ex: Git/Github)
- Experience working in an agile development team
- General experience with AWS or similar cluod hosting platforms
- Contribution to open source projects
- An understanding of scalable web app design and high availability, high-throughput architectures
- Interest in constantly staying in tune with advancements in the newest technologies
…and we want to meet you! Feel free to add anything else you might feel relevant, as we value experience and knowledge in our collaborators above all.
We know your time is valuable, so we want to let you know the whole process will take about 2 weeks. There will be 4 interviews total (an initial one with Human Capital, a technical skill one, one with an Account Manager, and probably one with the client at the end), possibly with a technical test, if necessary.
We will keep you regularly updated about your application, but you can also get in touch with us to ask about its status or anything else you might want to know. Just have fun!
If you are a good match for Scio, we will give you a formal job offer and ask you to get the pre-hiring requirements to us within 5 days at most, so preparedness is key.
Does this seem like a position designed just for you? We’ll love to check your resume. Please send it in English to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get back ASAP. Thanks for checking this opening out!
