MVP stands for Minimum Viable Product. It is a barebones version of the application whose purpose is to enable early and affordable testing of an idea with real users/customer.
At Scio, we work with you to take your idea and chisel it into an ideal MVP for you to release to the world and begin testing/tweaking.
Building a MVP to test before building a full product will save you money. Feedback at an early stage will almost always result in changing the direction of the product to meet the real demands of users. This is based on the principles written in “The Lean Startup”. See the Wikipedia article on “Minimum viable Product” here.
It is not necessary to launch your business idea fully developed. If you decide to follow that path, you may spend a considerable amount of time and especially money. Developing an MVP will allow you to get feedback from your users in a short period of time, as well as the flexibility to modify the software’s course and guide it more closely to your users’ requirements. By doing this, you will save time and money and you as a customer will be more satisfied with the results obtained.
